Terminal Nordlandkai is the biggest terminal of Lübeck's city ports and represents the main Finland centre of Lübeck. The weekly traffic to Helsinki, Rauma, Kotka and other places in Northern Finland guarantees a perfect service for all shipments to and from Finland. On top of that the connections to Sankt Petersburg and to Tallinn/Muuga raise the utilization rate to an optimum in the northern and eastern part of the Baltic. These and other northbound cargoes ensure a balanced traffic, so that southbound paper, forest products and other cargo can be shipped under the most economical conditions.

As a multi-purpose terminal Nordlandkai is especially designed for paper and forest products. To cope with the growing demand, the storage capacity for forest products has been increased by building new sheds. The newly built Fast-Dispatch-Centre represents the highest level of forest product handling. Roof capacities for rail tracks and covered operation areas guarantee that operation can be carried out in all weathers. Online warehousing and data transmission ensure the optimization of stock planning and stock control. Both systems are the substantial part of the customer support system like e.g. virtual warehousing. In close cooperation with our partners these dedicated distribution centres have been developed tailor-made for the necessities of the market.

Another advantage of Terminal Nordlandkai is the big experience in trailer and container handling as well as in combined traffic. To cope with the growing demand of containerized cargo and to ensure proper handling of project cargo, a mobile crane of 100 ts lifting capacity has been installed.
